Town of Espanola Secures Development |

The Town of Espanola has secured a residential and industrial development with KILGANAN Group Ltd. of Little Current. As of August 15th, KILGANAN will begin the development of 13 residential lots on Second Avenue and 6 in Amadori Court. These single dwelling homes are designed to maximize adult living and to capitalize on a new trend in building with steel to offer enhanced strength and cost reduction.
In tandem with the residential construction, KILGANAN plans to develop a steel roll form manufacturing company, Northern Metal Framing Inc., which will be housed in Espanola’s Industrial Park. This business will occupy four acres of the park and will create approximately 12 jobs in the community.
“Years of work and planning have made this development opportunity possible. This development will create residential growth, strengthen our position to attract people looking for affordable, quality of life housing options, create jobs and fortify our economic position,” says Mayor Gagnon. “We are proud to be KILGANAN’s site selection and pleased that this is just the beginning of exponential growth opportunities in Espanola.”
In a letter to Council, KILGANAN outlined reasons for choosing Espanola for their development base; the Town’s geographical location, availability of serviced industrial and residential properties and Council’s proactive and progressive mindset are sited.
